(She/Her)
Congratulations on taking a huge step in caring for yourself by starting your journey towards optimal mental and emotional health!
My approach to treatment is integrated as I use numerous evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to address the root causes of your difficulties. I actively pursue learning new techniques to therapy and will soon be certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). I have over 10+ years of experience working in the field of mental health with children, families, and individuals who faced adversities of homelessness, domestic violence, system involvement, and trauma. I continue to work with teens and adults who deal with a wide range of behavioral and emotional problems; depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, break ups, family conflict, self-esteem, employment stress, and life transitions.
I am committed to providing a safe space where you can engage in a low-pressure conversation regarding what’s on your heart and mind. You are resilient and have the resources within you! I am here, as your therapist, to empower you and validate how these life events have affected you. We can’t choose what happens to us, but I want to help you find meaning and motivate you to progress towards your goals. Together we will focus on building skills to effectively problem solve, make healthy life choices, and establish meaningful relationships.
